Who Can Apply?
This course is certified by the Resuscitation Council (UK).
Suitable for any individual or agency which requires competency training in CPR, use of an AED and airway techniques. Registered nurses, junior doctors, medical and nursing students, cardiology technicians and other experienced allied healthcare staff.
Course Aims/Brief Outline
To enable candidates to reach an acceptable level of competence in the practical aspects of advanced resuscitation incorporating
Prevention of cardiac arrest
An overview of basic life support
Airway management and simple ventilation techniques
Manual and/or advisory defibrillation
The universal algorithm
Use of drugs (optional)
Cardiac arrest simulation practice
Assessment is undertaken by continual observation.
Successful completion of the course gives a 12 month Resuscitation Council certificate which can be renewed via a yearly half day refresher course or repeating the whole course.
One day, 9.00am – 4.30pm (Registration from 8.45am)
Fee (includes manual and registration fee)
Free, however a refundable £20.00 deposit must be paid before places are confirmed.
