Course Aims/Brief Outline

To enable candidates to reach an acceptable level of competence to perform CPR.

  • Understanding the principles of paediatric emergencies

  • The difference between babies, children and adults

  • How to get appropriate help

  • The ABC principle of basic life support

  • How to perform CPR on babies and children

  • Recovery position

  • Choking

  • Awareness of the risks of contamination

 

Dates & Duration

 

1 - 2 Hours depending on previous knowledge or experience

 

Dates are scheduled subject to demand

 

Can be delivered separately or as an add on to the adult course
