Delivering excellence in clinical education and training
The Airedale Clinical Skills Centre (ACSC) was officially opened on 14th July 2008 by Professor Sarah Thomas. It is part of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust hospital. The aim of the centre is to deliver excellence in clinical training and education by combining state of the art technology with a team built up of a wealth of experience and knowledge. The centre is relatively new but has already established a reputation for well organised courses.
The Clinical Skills Centre consists of a Clinical skills Lab, 2 lecture rooms and two practical teaching rooms. One room designated for resuscitation and the other room is set up as a ward simulation room, used for practical simulated patient sessions. This allows practitioners to practice and develop a full range of skills necessary for patient care whilst in a safe and controlled environment.
